Crawfish/TGiving

Hello Blogland! I know I have been MIA for a few days. I took some vacation off of work and apparently from here in Blogland too. I hope your Thanksgiving was as great as mine. It is always so nice to be surrounded by family! Especially when we have been so blessed. I mean I do have the cutest nephew anyone could ask for. I have pictures and downloaded them too! I just didn't download them to the computer...only to Picasa! If you look closely to the right you will see them! I finally had my crawfish on Friday night and they were little but they were good! Thank you to Vick and Jenny at Cypress Inn! That is in Monroe! It was great food! There is just not much going on. I mean my nephew did come over this weekend and I am not sure what I am going to do because I have been spoiled by seeing him everyday! I have seen him everyday this past week and it is going to be weird not seeing him. I am going to post pictures soon! I apologize about the lack of pictures!

Until next time...wave your red, white & blue!
Much Love,

PSA...Crawfish/Family Birthdays

Just thought I would tell all my friends out there in Blog Land that in the great state of Louisiana that Crawfish are back! At least at Coney Island in Monroe! To me the only time the state is good is when we have crawfish! lol! I just love those things...oh if you don't know what they look like then here you go! Those are already boiled crawfish and they are so so so so good! When you go to the right place to eat them! They are going to be fairly small because it is just now starting out. Ok so everyone go out and get you some crawfish...I am on Wednesday! I have a very special birthday today and it is my sister. My wonderful sister is having a birthday today and I wanted to wish her a very happy birthday! I went to her work and surprised her with balloons and a card and she was so appreciative. The reason I mention her in this post is because I am treating her to crawfish on Wednesday night for her birthday! Oh this is Katie...and me! Hope you have a great day sister! You finally made the blog! Love you!

Oh I have 1 more birthday shout out! Happy Birthday to Ainsley Anderson! That is my brother's awesome girlfriend! I love you and I hope you have a great day!
Well I killed 2 birds with one stone....Here is James (my brother) and Ainsley (the girlfriend). Love ya'll both very much! I have pretty much done a great job with this post covering the siblings! Ok so I am done bragging! Oh I have the best brother and sister that a sister could ask for! Ok bye!

Until next time...keep waving your red, white, and blue!
Much Love,

LSU/Life

Ok so me and my aunt loaded up on Saturday and went to the LSU game. It was not awesome like I thought it would be. It was freezing and the Tigers were not playing good AT ALL! It was horrible. It was something out of a scary movie horrible! So while I was there...I just happened to bring my camera and I took this shot of Mike the Tiger!

Be looking out for that picture! I have entered my first photography contest on Facebook! It is an LSU fan contest! I am pretty excited about it. In case you were wondering...yes I want you to vote but voting doesn't start until November 25th. So back to the game...It was the 2nd quarter and the score was 14-3 Troy State. I was very upset and embarrassed to be honest. Our team was playing a team that ULM beat for goodness sake. Ok I am not gonna go there...that is a different post! lol! Ok so the score is 14-3 and I look at my aunt who is shivering and teeth chattering and we agreed that if Troy scored again (Troy was at the 5 or 10 yard line) that we were definitely leaving. Well Troy got a field goal but that didn't matter...they scored. So we looked at each other again and she said if we left then that we could be home by 11:30 and nothing was stopping us! We hit the road and left! As we were leaving our awesome quarterback threw and interception and made the score 24-3 Troy State! That was wild. Well we listened to the game on the way home and miraculously it ended up being the biggest comeback in LSU history! It had to of been because the score was 30-3 at some point and LSU came back and won the game! So I took pictures but I went and got all my pictures put on a disk and I have erased all of them off my memory card. I meant to download them but I apologize about forgetting! I saw pregame which was awesome and we got to meet up with my cousin Whitney...
and we went to Walk On's and (they have great margaritas by the way!) ate and it was so much fun! We talked and we hugged. It had been forever since I had seen her. I was supposed to see my other cousin John...
That is him in the middle with his awesome sisters! The one to the left... I know you remember her....remember my most memorable trip to Nashville this summer? That is the one I went with...Anna Beth! Anyways he decided to go duck hunting. It was opening day of duck season! I will see him for Thanksgiving though! I am really excited about seeing the family. I love it! Another thing I am very excited about is Crawfish Season. It started today and all I can say is see you at Coney Island next weekend! I am ready too! I want to say a very special....WELCOME HOME CHAD & MATTHEW!! Thank you for what you have done for our awesome country! It means a lot!

Until next time...keep waving your red, white & blue!
Much Love,
Erin

Unfortunately I did not get camera happy at the Taste of the Twin Cities. It was so much fun going from booth to booth tasting food from the Twin Cities! Me and my grandmother went as we do each year. It was a wild night because LSU and Alabama were playing and when we got out of the car we learned that LSU was going into Overtime! Crazy game. Alabama ended up winning the game.
I went a weekend seeing my nephew and have no proof! Unreal! I know. I guess I just wanted to enjoy my time with him this weekend and have fun and that is just what I did. I didn't worry about a camera! It was great! Now I am regretting not taking pictures.
Tonight starts the ULM Women's Basketball season and I have been looking forward to this day since last March. I love women's basketball. I am literally at a different gym every night when basketball season starts! It is so much fun! I am going to be taking my camera there tonight to capture all the excitement! Hopefully there will be lots of it! I just got an update and Chad should be leaving Iraq either tonight or tomorrow! Very exciting news! I love to hear of troops that are coming home safely! I want to also congragulate my friend Lyndsay! Her boyfriend Matthew is coming home from Iraq as well! We have talked to each other just about everyday during this deployment! It has been a blast and we are going to remain great friends!

Until next time...keep waving your red, white & blue! Until they ALL come HOME!

Much Love,
Erin

Football Friday Night

UPDATE: 4:36 Friday: I said I was going to update and put pictures of the precious clown on Halloween...if you look at 2 posts down you will see that I have already put those pictures up! I doubted myself! How dare I?! LOL!

We made it through another week! It is finally Friday. You know what I just discovered? I am a huge follower of Melanie Massey Groves's blog and their is a huge difference between mine and hers...first of all hers is very very creative and secondly I post about things without pictures and she has gazillions of beautiful pictures! I need to start posting more pictures. I mean I haven't even posted the adorable little clown yet! I must do that very soon.
Tonight is going to be a busy night because I will be taking pictures for Neville Football and you can see them on The News Star's website sometime next week. Me and my Grandmother (on my Mama's side) will be spending some time together tomorrow in Shreveport and me and my other grandmother will be spending time tomorrow night at the Taste of the Twin Cities. If you are in Monroe tomorrow night and have never been....I urge you to go! It is so much fun! Just food galore...I think that is my favorite past time! lol! Well we made it to Friday and it looks like I have a lot of pictures to share with you on Sunday! football pics, s'port pics, and taste of the twin cities pics...Oh and my adorable little clown pics! That would be my nephew! I have shared pics of me with you! Remember I was the Sober Chauffer! Ok that is it but everyone please have a great and safe weekend!

Until next time....keep waving your red, white & blue!
Much Love,
Erin

P.S. If you want to "holler" at Mel go "see" her at http://www.mojoy.blogspot.com/! She has got a special project going on and you can be a part of it!

Flu Shots & What Nots

Ok so today we had our flu shots at work. I am not afraid of needles but I have been poked so many times that I am immune to them now! It really hasn't been that busy. In case you haven't noticed or been under a rock we have a new president. Our new president is Barack Obama. I hope he does a great job. We needed change and I hope this is the change we need. Yesterday my precious nephew had to be tested for RSV and thankfully he does not have it. That is pretty much all there is going on. Neville plays West Ouachita Friday night so you should be looking out for those pictures coming out soon. They will be posted on The News Star's website and you can see them in the Tiger Talk on Thursdays! A big thank you goes out to The News Star's Sports Department for helping me and being patient with me througout this season. It has had its ups and downs for sure! Thank you so so much! Michael, Terance, and Tabby...you all are great! I can't think of anything else but I am going to Taste of the Twin Cities this weekend and will be bringing my camera! Should see some great pics! That event is always fun every year! Lots of food too! Can't wait to tell you about it! Oh I see I have a follower! That is so awesome! Tell more friends to follow me! Her name is Connie! Thank you Connie and feel free to tell me what you think about this blog thing! Chad is (from what I understand) at the Al Asad airport awaiting his plane ride home. They have gotten all their luggage tags and just waiting! Oh here is a picture of Chad... I know I talk about him but never put a picture! I am so sorry!

Until next time...Keep waving your red, white and blue!
Much Love,
Erin

VOTE

Hey! I am not one to talk politics so I am not. It doesn't matter who you are voting for but this election is probably the most important election of our time. I am a very patriotic person in case you haven't noticed. I am the one that is telling grown people to shut up while they play the National Anthem, the one that will stand up in my own home while watching the Super Bowl or any sporting event and put my hand over my heart while the National Anthem plays. I am just that way. I know too many people who have givn their lives for our country and I know 2 right now that are in Iraq. Thank Goodness they are on the way home but one is coming home for 6 months and headed to Afghanistan. His name is Chad and I have talked about him a bit on here.

I have gone way off subject! Kinda! My whole point today is to remind you to get out there and VOTE! This is a very important election and one that will change America!!!
Until next time...
keep waving your red, white & blue!
Much Love,
Erin

Halloween 2008

What a weekend we all had! Neville got beat 30-7 but who cares about that when you have the most adorable nephew that comes to visit! Well my nephew was a clown on Halloween.

See what I mean? Is that not the cutest clown you have ever seen? I could not help it. I know he is spoiled and I have been spoiled because saw him 2 days in a row and I had to make it 3.

We went trick or treati ng at Maw-Maw's and then we got a little fussy...so he went to bed and my night was just beginning! I thought it would never end! My brother had text me earlier and asked me to drive him and his friends. I never spend time with my brother so I jumped at the opportunity. I haven't been known to be the cool one in the family. I have always been the geek but Friday night I was the cool one because I was driving the friends! lol! So I got such a short notice I didn't get to dress up. I guess you could say I went dressed up as the Sober Chauffer. It was so much fun too! I guess I am just rambling and you want to see the precious little clown again?

Ok so I had a weird moment this weekend and was looking through pictures and just cannot believe that my sweet nephew once looked like this...

Now he looks like this...

Ok now I leave you with pics from Friday night and a random pic of my Dad and brother!

Until next time....
Keep waving your red, white & blue!

Much Love,

Erin
P.S. If you know anyone that needs pics taken...tell them to call me! I am booking now for those Christmas pics!!! 318-376-7943
