Heeelllloooooo!

I know it has been a good while since I have written. Neglect! That's what it is. I am just bad about getting on here and updating! Melanie is so much better than I am! I am spending time with my new nephew that is 5 weeks old yesterday! He is just so precious! I need to get some updated pictures on here. I took some of the cutest pictures the other day. I know I am bad with my camera and the poor child already knows what it sounds like when the camera turns on because he starts his little fake whine. I love it. I hope my new camera doesn't make the noise so I can take more pics! I know it is going to be so much better and I am going to absolutely love it! Me and Dad are going the day of my birthday to get it at the malll (hopefully if they have it) I am sure they will. Right now I am just waiting on 1 so that I can go to lunch to see the little man. My Mom (Puggy to Deason) is keeping him while my sister, Katie works. Then I believe he is going to Day Care when my mom starts school because my mother is just loving her little man! I do to! He is not spoiled...now how many of you believe that? I don't see any hands up! wonder why! Just wait till he gets older! lol! That is going to be awesome but I want to enjoy him now because they don't stay like this for long. Oh I have a story to share about my sister....kinda upsetting! She is very wrong!
So I am at my house as usual and as usual I have my camera in my hand and I think I had taken like 3 or 4 pictures and she was brave enough to tell me to stop taking pictures that she already has too many...now I love my camera...it is probably my best friend because it is never mean to me just people are mean to me about it...lol! So my Mom looked at me as to say Erin I know what you are going to say so I said it...oh yes I did! I meant it too! I said Katie you can never take too many pictures....one day you are going to come up to me wanting those pictures and I am not going to have them because you told me not to take any. Well I hate to have to go but I must! I have been thinking about my friend Chad a lot. If you all remember from maybe my second post I mentioned I had a friend Chad that was in Iraq. Please continue to keep him and his family in your prayers. Please also continue to pray for Rosemary and Debbie. Them and their families really need our prayers and desperately need to feel the Lord's mighty strength!

Until next time.....keep waving your red, white, and blue!

Baseball...Chris....Baseball & Lazy Sundays

Well first of all I love baseball but to a point....I must honestly say that I am ready for it to be over for this year. About a month from now I will miss it but right now it needs to be over! So over the last couple of weeks I have been talking to a very nice gentleman named Chris. He is such a sweetheart. I really think a lot about him. My parents love him. They think he is just so sweet. He has invited me to Panama City, Florida and unfortunately my work schedule won't allow me to go. I so wish I could go so that we could spend time together. Eventually I hope we will. I told him next summer I was definitely planning on taking a beach trip. Maybe a girls trip to the beach! Anyway I went to Funkmonsters Friday night with my best friend Jill and we had a great time as always. I met her boss Misty and a friend of hers by the name of Rhonda aka Flippy. They are some very nice ladies. I also have pictures to share from that night but they will have to wait because I haven't gotten them uploaded yet. I also have some pictures of the baby that I haven't gotten uploaded yet either. That baby is just growing everyday and it makes me so sad that he is growing up so fast. By the time I blink he is going to be 16 and driving. It just breaks my heart that it happens so fast. He will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. It seems like yesterday we were in that hospital room with Katie letting her and her husband make that important decision to have a C-Section. Then seeing Dea's face as he brought Deason Hewitt out to see the family. The first look I had of my new nephew was priceless. I will never have that feeling again. There is just something about the first that does something. He is spoiled, he will be spoiled and he has definitely been spoiled by his Aunt Tootie. I love that child so much. I never thought you could love a baby so much until now. It is about 4:25 here and I am ready for 5. I am ready to talk to Chris again! By the way he gave me the biggest laugh today and that is what I truly like about Chris. He can make the worst of my days so much better by just a phone call. I thank him so much for that and remind him of that everyday! Ok so that is enough for today! I shall "talk" to you all again soon!

Until next time...keep waving your red, white & blue!
Until they ALL come HOME!
I am praying for you CL! I think about you everyday! Stay safe & watch your back!

Much Love,
Erin

Let's go Old School

I'm talkin Lexkington Elementary Class of 1995. It is so old it feels weird typing it! Here is the story! I was playing around Facebook today and found a group called "I went to Lexington Elementary in Monroe, La" so I joined the group. I saw that this nice lady had posted some pictures so I looked through them and low and behold lookie what I found....
Now all my friends are going to hate me for posting this! Oh well! Most of this class went on to Lee Junior High and then on to Neville to graduate in the Class of 2001 at Neville High School. Like they say...once a Tiger....Always a Tiger!
I am going to attempt to tell you who everyone is from bottom to top left to right.
Adam Hanks, Sarah Goubert, Aja Lee, Alicia Washington?, I am not sure, Erin Stephens (me!), Mrs. Robinson
2nd row: Nathan McFee, Joey Buck, James Scalia, I am not sure, Brett Grigson, Lee Deal, not sure, not sure
3rd row: not sure, Nathan McCormick, Bradley Davis, Chelsea Williams?, Jennifer Porter, Allison Price Cates, Bobby Nola.
Wow those were the days! How amazing! I can't believe they even went back that far. It seems like so long ago. I feel like I am sitting here aging! I am only 25 though. If any of my former classmates read my blog...I hope I have made you very proud. Just know that I miss the good ole' days and miss you so very much and think about you very often. There is never a dull moment when I think back on those times. I laugh till I have tears in my eyes. I can honestly say this....to the Class of 2001 at Neville High School...I love you! That will always be a part of me! I can't wait till our 10 year reunion! Maybe you will see this picture again!
Until next time....keep waving your red, white and blue!
Until they ALL come HOME!!!!
Much love,

Ballpark...Deason Hewitt....Ballpark!!!

It has been a wild week. My cousin Clay had several baseball games in the great town of Winnsboro. I had a great time at the ballpark. I am very much ready for more baseball. I didn't think I would be ready for more baseball but I find it like a drug...very addicting!
Nothing much going on here. Just a lazy Saturday. I would like to say a very special to my friend Melanie Williams on her wedding today! Love you girl!
I have deemed the next post necessary because I have not had many pictures of the baby and I shall make the next post no words...just pics!!!!! I am getting that done now!
Until next time....wave your red, white, and blue!
Much Love,
Erin

Baseball, Baseball and lack of sleep!

Oh man! What a game last night! That Monroe team in Winnsboro was awesome. I was so nervous I couldn't even take pictures. I love to admit this but my Aunt Donna (my mom's sister) has a way better camera than I do at the moment! I say that because I am getting a new camera in September as a birthday present to myself. Ok now back to what I was talking about....oh yea the camera! lol! You want to know what kind.....is that what is going through your mind.....you didn't know I was a mind reader too! Sometimes you just have to be! Just kidding! Here it is.....
I am so excited! If you all want to know more about my soon to be precious jewel you may go to this website....http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/shop/Cameras-Camcorders/Digital-Cameras/Lumix-Digital-Cameras/model.DMC-FZ18K_11002_7000000000000005702
Also if you would like to give hints and tips or what not about photography....I will gladly accept it. If you are willing to be a subject that would be great too or if you have children and would love to have pictures of them let me know. I love taking pictures. I have been at the ballparks lately taking pictures with a not so great digital but they have come out pretty good. They always say practice makes perfect and I love to practice my photography! Just shoot me an e-mail at erinerins@yahoo .com if you are interested in helping!
Thanks so much!
God Bless our Troops!
Keep waving your red, white & blue!

Buy me some Peanuts & Cracker Jacks!

Well peanuts and nachos anyway! I love summertime! Baseball, ice cold watermelon, baseball and more baseball. Did I mention that I absolutely LOVE Baseball? I think I did! You can never get enough of it. I have tons of pictures to upload this weekend. It is America's pastime and there is just absolutely no better way to celebrate America's Birthday than a good ole dose of BASEBALL! oh and my wonderful family down at Lake Bruin! I can't wait! I am going to take lots of pictures of that and can't wait to share. My Dad is really going to love this post because guess what.....he loves BASEBALL! My brother, sister and I were practically raised on a baseball field somewhere and I wouldn't have it any other way. Whether it was rooting my brother to victory, trying to play t-ball or rooting my sister to victory. I just love it! One softball game that comes to mind is when my sister's team...Angus was in the championship ballgame and my sister Katie hits the ball and it goes right in front of the pitcher's mound. Well the girl didn't even get a chance to pick up the ball before Katie crossed homeplate! Katie won the championship! Another young lady on the infamous Angus softball squad is someone you might have heard of around Monroe. She is now in the WNBA playing for the Detroit Shock with the likes of Cheryl Ford (Karl Malone's daughter). She is incredible. Her name is Chrissy Givens. I just happen to have a picture of her...here you go.....

This is when Chrissy came to play at ULM at her last "home" game. I put home in quotes because she actually played for Middle Tennessee before she went and played in Turkey and now the WNBA! Let me just say she blew the lights out of the Fant Ewing Coliseum. She was awesome! I am just so proud of her. She will do well in the WNBA.
I love women's basketball. I get all into and Coach Mona Martin can tell you! I am their #1 fan! I love that sport. Now the men....they make me a little nervous. I have gotten better about it though. I am working on it! Well that is just about it for this post! I went from one sport to another! Wow....how exciting!
Oh I want to say this because this is very close to my heart. I know most of us have a short week this week at work and I want all of us to take 5 minutes of our day tomorrow to remember why. Remember that while we have bar-b-ques and drink a little beer and go out on the lake or whatever to enjoy ourselves that at that exact moment there are brave men and women fighting for our right to do what we do. Please be proud and wear your red, white & blue with pride!
Keep waving your red, white & blue!
Much love,
Erin
